Job Title:
Nutrition Specialist

Director of Nutrition

Responsibilities:
Nutritionist will provide nutrition education and counseling to clients, their families, and care-providers. Services are provided in all five boroughs of New York City and Hudson County, New Jersey. You will conduct outreach to hard to reach and under-served communities through nutrition workshops, home visits, lectures, and education materials.

Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years paid experience in nutrition as a Registered Dietician or New York State Certified Nutritionist. A Bachelors of Science degree in Nutrition.
Experience in community or public health and/or nutrition education with a specific background in AIDS and other serious illnesses including cancer. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak confidently in front of small groups. Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Outlook and Excel. Ability to travel locally to conduct group presentation and home visits. Knowledge of food safety and menu planning is a plus. Bilingual in Spanish or other language is a plus.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate meal delivery packing and department start of day processes. Ensure adherence to established packing procedures and food safety standards. Coordinate meal inventory process and inventory reporting. Organize and ensure safety and cleanliness of delivery areas, equipment and materials. Maintain and replenish materials and equipment for packaging and food safety, including containers, cleaning products, and labeling supplies. Assist department supervisors and NMDC Coordinator where needed.

Job Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or at least two years work experience in logistics. Must hold a valid NYS driver license with no convictions or accidents in the past 3 years, be able to lift up to 100 lbs., work a flexible schedule including overtime and holidays. Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.

Prepares and packages freshly made, gourmet-style food for our meal program. Candidates must have a culinary degree or related work experience in high volume cooking.

Responsibilities:
Drives van to deliver meals in a professional and courteous manner to clients located in New York City, and Hudson and Essex Counties in New Jersey. Prepares for delivery by completing van inspection, reviewing client paperwork and packing van with meals for distribution to all clients on your route. Follows all precautions for food safety, lifting, personal and van assistant safety and vehicle safety.


Job Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or at least two years work experience as a delivery driver. Must hold a valid NYS driver license with no convictions or accidents in the past 3 years, be able to lift up to 100 lbs., work a flexible schedule including overtime and holidays and work with a diverse group of clients. Excellent driving knowledge of the 5 boroughs is a must. Good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
