Q:
Who does God's Love We Deliver serve?
A:
Our agency delivers nutritious, freshly prepared meals to people
living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, Alzheimers and other life-altering
illnesses who cannot shop or cook for themselves. We serve people
in new York City and Hudson County and Newark, New Jersey. Approximately
47% of
our clients are women, 15% are dependent children, and 53% are men.
Q:
Does God's Love We Deliver accept food donations?
A:
No. Due to issues of food safety and the highly specific nature
of our menus, God's Love We Deliver purchases the majority of the
ingredients that are used to prepare our meals. All ingredients
are fresh and of the highest quality.
Q:
How many meals does the agency deliver?
A:
The agency, on average, delivers over 3,000 meals every weekday,
year round. To date, GLWD has delivered over 8 million meals to
clients in New York City and Hudson County, New Jersey.

Can someone volunteer at God's Love We Deliver?
A:
Yes. Simply call Volunteer Services at (212) 294-8104 to

to sign up. There is a brief volunteer orientation and a food safety
class before you get started. Volunteers make it possible for us
to deliver!

What can volunteers do?
A: Our
volunteer opportunities include working in our kitchen, assisting
with meal delivery, and helping out at special events or in our
offices.

How does one get on the meal program?
A:
Call Client Services at (212) 294-8102 or (800) 747-2023
begins the registration process. Once completed, a meal most likely
will be delivered on the next weekday.
Q:
What documentation does a client need to begin the meal program?
A:Client
Services must receive confirmation of the new client's health status
from the client's medical provider within two weeks of their first
meal delivery. For more information, see How

Q:
Does God's Love We Deliver offer assistance to people in the community
who do not qualify for its meal services.
A:
Our Client Service Representative can access a network of emergency
food programs, AIDS service and community-based organizations, health
care providers, and government agencies, that can help provide assistance
and services to those who do not qualify for our services.
