Holiday Meals

On Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, special holiday meals - over 5,000 of them -are prepared and delivered with love by our dedicated staff and hundreds of volunteers. Each client even receives an extra holiday meal to share with a friend or loved one. We do it because our clients and their families are like most families-with one big exception. Each of them suffers from a life-altering illness that makes it impossible for them to shop or cook for themselves.

You can help us spread the joy of the holiday season and provide comfort to our seriously ill friends and neighbors, at a time when they need it most, by supporting our Holiday Meal Program. Donations of any amount are welcome. A gift of just $100 would provide ten individually tailored, nutritious meals to a man, woman or child for both holidays. A donation of $25,000 would mean special meals and gifts over the holidays for more than 700 families. Thank you for your generosity and Happy Holidays.

Help Purchase a Delivery Van

At God's Love We Deliver, we rely on a fleet of 16 vans to deliver over 3,400 meals daily, throughout the five boroughs and to Newark and Hudson County, New Jersey. In 2008, we embarked on an ambitious effort to secure funding to convert our entire delivery fleet from standard to refrigerated units. Increasing our ability to deliver chilled and frozen meals will allow us to continue to meet the ever-expanding demand for our services.

Last year, our client numbers increased by over 10%, and we are expecting a similar increase again this year. This is why purchasing new vans is so critical to our continued success. The cost of purchasing and converting all 16 vans to refrigerated units is substantial - $39,000 per van. Your contribution to help us purchase a van is necessary to assist us in acquiring and operating the new vehicles we need to keep God's Love We Deliver moving forward.

The Chef's Table

Our Chef's Table honors donors who make gifts of $1,200 or more. Membership can be as simple as an automatic monthly deduction of $100 on a credit card. Honor/Memorial Contributions

You can make contributions in honor or memory of friends, family members or loved ones. To do so, either click the Donate Now button above or mail your gift to the address above. Matching Gifts

Corporate matching gifts are an important source of funds for GLWD. In our recent fiscal year, over 80 corporations matched employee gifts to GLWD. If your company has a matching gift program, be sure to include an appropriate form with your contribution.

Ceramic Tribute Tiles

Remember or honor someone special with a commemorative God's Love We Deliver ceramic tile. All tiles are
hand-painted and fired with your name or the name of someone you love or your organization/business name and installed in God's Love Soho kitchen. Memorial tiles include a hand-painted heart.

• A ceramic tribute tile along with an exact copy that you or a loved one will receive is $350.00

Gifts of Securities
You might not know that you can support GLWD with a gift that can save you taxes and provide other major financial benefits.

Many individuals choose to support GLWD through gifts of appreciated securities. Securities that have appreciated in value since purchase are subject to tax. By making a gift to GLWD, of securities you have held for one year or more, you may receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value and avoid paying the capital gains tax on the appreciation.
