Doing Even More For The People Of Our Community

We have the kitchen space, the delivery system and the volunteers to accommodate more clients. Therefore, we have chosen to do even more, to serve even more people in need, because we can-with the continued generous support of our community.

As we've updated over the past few months, our pilot project to serve people living with serious illnesses other than HIV/AIDS has been a tremendous success. As of the end of September, we served over 200 people in the New York metro area living with cancer, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, severe diabetes and other serious illnesses that make it difficult for them to shop and cook for themselves. Our staff members and volunteers have been overwhelmed by the gratitude expressed by these people who truly have no other means of nutritional support.

Time To Let The Community Know
In order for us to continue to attract new clients, announce this change to the New York metro area community, and reinforce our fundraising efforts, we worked with a local advertising agency to develop an announcement campaign. Our Board Co-Chair, Michael Sennott, is a member of the Board of Directors for the Ad Council, an agency that promotes and distributes public service announcement (PSA) campaigns for non-profit agencies. As a result of this relationship, Michael recruited the pro-bono help of Deutsch Inc., one of the top advertising agencies in the country. Members of Deutsch Inc. volunteered in our kitchen and delivered meals to our clients to gain a sense of the God's Love We Deliver mission and culture. Armed with this information and experience, the creative team developed a print, television, outdoor advertising and radio PSA campaign featuring real clients and volunteers to get our message out. The images here are a sample of the ads that will begin to appear in newspapers, magazines and in local television and radio programming throughout the coming months.

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani-a great supporter of the organization-generously provided the television and radio PSA voice-over. Photographer Norman Jean Roy, captured the vivid imagery of our client and volunteer faces, and Alison Maclean directed the beautifully-shot television PSA. All of the elements combine with the copy, developed by Deutsch Inc., (detailed below) to create a very powerful campaign to spread the word that we are here for anyone in the New York metro area that is too sick to cook or shop for themselves.

All of the placements for the print, TV, radio and outdoor advertising are provided through donated space. We are very fortunate to have the Ad Council's stamp of approval, which is critical as the ads are distributed to media outlets. We are grateful to Deutsch Inc. for providing all of their hours of creative services pro-bono, Norman Jean Roy and Allison Maclean for volunteering their incredible talents, and for all of the clients and volunteers that lent us their time and their story to be a part of this special campaign.
