As we've updated over the past few months, our pilot project to serve people living with serious illnesses other than HIV/AIDS has been a tremendous success. As of the end of September, we served over 200 people in the New York metro area living with cancer, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, severe diabetes and other serious illnesses that make it difficult for them to shop and cook for themselves. Our staff members and volunteers have been overwhelmed by the gratitude expressed by these people who truly have no other means of nutritional support. Time To Let The Community
Know Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani-a great supporter of the organization-generously provided the television and radio PSA voice-over. Photographer Norman Jean Roy, captured the vivid imagery of our client and volunteer faces, and Alison Maclean directed the beautifully-shot television PSA. All of the elements combine with the copy, developed by Deutsch Inc., (detailed below) to create a very powerful campaign to spread the word that we are here for anyone in the New York metro area that is too sick to cook or shop for themselves. All of the placements for the print, TV, radio and outdoor advertising are provided through donated space. We are very fortunate to have the Ad Council's stamp of approval, which is critical as the ads are distributed to media outlets. We are grateful to Deutsch Inc. for providing all of their hours of creative services pro-bono, Norman Jean Roy and Allison Maclean for volunteering their incredible talents, and for all of the clients and volunteers that lent us their time and their story to be a part of this special campaign.
