| Gingerbreads | ||||||||||
| The holidays are
traditionally our busiest time of year. Whether packing gift bags for the
children on our program, baking holiday cookies, or taking the time to deliver
a few extra meals, countless volunteers work together to ensure that our
clients are not overlooked or forgotten?particularly in a season associated
with abundance and joy.
One God’s Love We Deliver holiday tradition revolves around decorating gingerbread houses. Each year volunteers and local school children gather in our kitchen, equipped with gallons of royal icing and many pounds of candy to decorate gingerbread houses and cookies to be delivered on December 25th to the children on our program. This year nearly 250 children will have their holiday brightened with the delivery of a special hand-decorated gingerbread house.
