Individual Volunteering
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities at Gods Love We Deliver. So whether you want to chop carrots, deliver meals, process donations or help with special events, we need your help.
Kitchen Volunteers
Volunteers assist our chefs to prepare more than 3,300 nutritious meals every weekday. Our kitchen is open Sunday through Friday. Duties involve chopping vegetables, wrapping bagels or packing meals. Kitchen volunteers must be 18 or older to work in the kitchen, 16 with a signed parental consent form.

Van Assistants
Van assisting is currently our biggest need. Volunteers accompany staff drivers from our SoHo location on their routes, assisting with delivering meals to both Neighborhood Meal Distribution Centers and individual client homes. Van assistants are needed Monday - Friday, 8am - 3pm. It is a great one-day volunteer opportunity! (must be 18 or older)
Neighborhood Meal Distribution Center
Our Neighborhood Meal Distribution Centers (NMDC's) are our partner locations that serve as drop-off points for our meals. In the morning, God's Love drivers drop the meals off in insulated bins to various community centers, offices, churches and other participating NMDC's. At lunchtime, our volunteers package the meals and deliver them to clilents' homes throughout the surrounding neighborhood.

Office Assistance
Volunteers answer phones, handle mail, process donations, and assist in general office work. Our offices are open Sunday 10am - 4:30pm; Monday - Thursday 9:30am - 8pm; and Friday 9:30am - 12pm.
Special Events
Volunteers play an integral role in the success of all our fundraising events. They also represent our organization at community outreaches, street and health fairs and benefits. These events raise funds, increase public awareness and recruit volunteers. Volunteers also participate in holiday-specific projects like assembling Thanksgiving baskets and decorating holiday bags.
